HardTech & Robotics Founders Meetup

This isn't a talk with slides. It's a working session. Bring the prototype that won't behave, the BOM that won't close, or the business model you're still arguing with yourself about. Laptops, hardware, half-finished things, all welcome.

We open with asks and offers: everyone names one thing they're stuck on and one thing they can help with. It's the fastest way we've found to get the right two people talking, and more than one co-founder pairing has started there. Then we spread out and actually work. Near the end we regroup, show what moved, and flag any SBDC resources that might unblock you.

Founders, hardware engineers, and the hardware-curious. Free, funded by the Santa Cruz SBDC. No pitch, no deck, no equity.

Getting there: Idea Fab Labs is on the second floor of the old Wrigley Building, and the way in is not obvious. Park on the street or in the large lot with solar panels across from 2801 Mission St Ext (no fee). Use the visitor entry marked 2801 Mission St, walk down the hallway to the first blue door on your right (it has an Idea Fab Labs sign with an arrow), and take the stairwell two flights to the top. Go through the door marked The Old Wrigley Building and Idea Fab Labs is on your left. Doors are unlocked until 8pm, no code needed. If you have accessibility needs, contact Idea Fab Labs ahead of time.
