Santa Cruz HardTech is a federally supported program, and we build this site to be usable by everyone. We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

What we do

• Every page works with a keyboard alone, with visible focus states.
• The animated background is decorative, hidden from screen readers, and stops completely for anyone whose system requests reduced motion.
• Text meets AA contrast against its background.
• Images that carry meaning have alternative text.
• Forms have real labels, not just placeholder text.

Known gaps

Content posted by members and by third-party embeds — the Discord chat in the members area in particular — is outside our direct control. If you hit a barrier there, tell us and we will find another way to get you the same information.

Events

If you need an accommodation to attend one of our events, contact us at least a week ahead where possible and we will arrange it.
